Hello Everyone!

So, you have problems with your fluency. I think I can give you some advice on that. What you need to do to improve your fluency is to SPEAK!! All the time, under any circumstances! You can do it! You can improve easily if you just concentrate on speaking!

First of all dont forget to use your Center! Go to your WSI Center and speak English, to everyone! To the lab teachers, to the teachers, to your friends... You are learning, and you should be practicing as much as you can.

Dont feel bad about your mistakes, we all make mistakes, and besides, youre learning, and you have the right to make mistakes. Also, be a regular student. Go to class regularly. That way you will have regular contact with a teacher and he or she will advise you and help you progress.

There are many other things you can do. Try watching TV and going to the cinema in English! You will first improve your listening comprehension, and then you will start noticing that some sentences are part of your vocabulary, and that you can use them without translating them mentally.

Dont forget we all want you to end up THINKING in English. You also have the Chat in The VillAge! You can practice your expression. I know its not oral, but you have to be really quick if you want to get a conversation going. And dont worry! We all translate when we speak at the beginning. You should try not to, but I know its difficult. Dont panic!

Read and speak in English as much as you can and try using the words and sentences you know, even when you think they are a bit basic. Im sure youll do fine!
